I recently found a great little tool on facebook that got rid of an advert that I hated seeing.
The advert was for ‘nude veiwer’ – whatever that is. I really didn’t like seeing it pop up on my facebook everytime I logged in. That’s when I noticed a little ‘thumbs up’ and ‘thumbs down’ button under the advert.
Pushing the ‘thumbs down’ button was the most liberating experience. I was asked why I did not like the advert, I answered why I thought it was stupid and a waste of my time and then I was rewarded for my contribution to Facebook.
THE ADVERT DISAPPEARED!!! and I havent seen it since.
So if you are sick of seeing advertising on facebook that offends you or that you just find irrellavent then give it the thumbs down. At the very least you shouldn’t see the advert again!!
